SALA Festival is a visual arts festival that aims to link the local community and local artists in venues that go beyond the galleries.

Here at Foodland we’re passionate about the arts, and supporting local in all areas, even artists! We’re pleased to be partnering with SALA Festival for the fourth year in a row with our Food for the Soul exhibition! Featured Tote Artist: Lucinda Penn, ‘The City of Creat-elaide’, 2023

The City of Creat-elaide’ is a painted love-letter to Lucinda’s creative experience of Adelaide referencing growing up in the Adelaide Hills to living and creating in the City and was exhibited in her own curated SALA exhibition in 2023. Lucinda strives to bring communities together by engaging the public in her mural workshops.

Featured Tote Artist: Amanda Westley, Kainggi Ruw-ald (Colours of Country), 2023

Kainggi Ruw-ald represents all the colours that are found walking across Ngarrindjerri ruwi (country). Amanda Westley Is a Ngarrindjeri woman from Victor Harbour and uses dot work and bright colours inspired by her coastal country hometown.

Birthday Cakes is a celebration of the joy and excitement felt around someone’s birthday paired with Eliza’s love for cooking and beautiful tablescapes. Eliza Koch is an emerging artist from Adelaide.
